About CEO
Dr. Tutson, a courageous breast cancer survivor of ten years, experienced firsthand the formidable adversary that afflicts us all in various forms: the dreaded word nobody wishes to hear - cancer. The initial five-year period marked the most arduous struggle of my life. Having provided pastoral care on the Cancer floor and interacting with numerous patients, I had unknowingly prepared myself for the day when I would become one of them. Consequently, when the time came for me to undergo chemotherapy and radiation, and subsequently face the loss of all my hair, it was not entirely unexpected. My prior experiences working alongside cancer patients served as a source of strength, equipping me for my own arduous battle and personal journey with cancer. However, a new complication arose known as Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP), characterized by low blood platelet counts, which proved to be more menacing than the cancer itself. Desperate to halt the destruction of my platelets, I had to relinquish control of my spine, but regrettably, the efforts proved futile. It would require another three years of relentless fighting. Eventually, the battle reached its culmination, leaving me with a story of triumph to share. This achievement is not a mere cliché or tired adage; rather, it represents an unwavering truth rooted in strength, hope, and faith. I emerged victorious because of the power of prayer and the unwavering expertise of the doctors, nurses, and all the healthcare professionals involved in my care. Through divine intervention, God bestowed upon them the knowledge and abilities to tend to my physical well-being. He dispatched angels to fortify my spirit, lifting me up and imparting wisdom for this particular battle. I gained invaluable insights about prayer and God's profound impact, which ultimately contributed to a triumphant outcome. The battle favored the strong, and through Christ Jesus, I discovered my own strength, enabling me to overcome all obstacles. I firmly believe that I can accomplish anything. To anyone engaged in any form of struggle, my advice is this: never relinquish the power of prayer, and never lose faith in God, for He continues to work in the lives of people and will never abandon you.
